Mid-May Lancaster Go Tournament
The Lancaster Go Club will be holding a self pairing go tournament on
May 15, 2005. We would very much like to see you at this event. The
format is designed to make beginners feel comfortable and at the same
time provide a good environment for stronger players. Pairings will be
done as players become available so that you do not have to wait around
for the next round to start. Join us for a fun day of go. We will
provide bagels, fruit, coffee, tee, and soda. Even if you can join us
for only part of the day, you will be able to play some go and exchange
gossip with players from other areas.
All games will be AGA rated. Full and limited AGA memberships will be
available at the door.
Registration fee: $10.00 for AGA members.
Registration fee: $15.00 for non AGA members.
Registration will begin around 9:00 AM and continue all day. Play will
start as soon as are two or more players have arrived. The formal
tournament will shut down around 6:00 PM, but we will be around for as
many more games as you would like to play.
Winners will receive certificates recognizing their performances. Losers
will get a chance to do better at the next tournament.

8th Annual Lancaster Yang Workshop
Do you lose won games? Is your opening strategy not up to par? Are you just plain mystified about how to improve? Then this four-day workshop is for you. Led by noted professional Yi-Lun Yang (7p), reknown for his teaching ability and author of many fine books, there are many lectures interspersed with games played between the participants and reviewd by Mr. Yang.
Thursday -Sunday November 4 Through November 7
Adult $200.00, Children $100.00 for all four-days. If you want to attend for just a part, contact one of the sponsers to work something out.
The workshop will start at 9:00 AM Thursday and end at 3:00 PM Sunday.

7th Annual Lancaster Yang Workshop
Hold the presses folks! Noted professional go player and author
Yi-Lun Yang is giving a workshop in
Lancaster, Pennylvania. If
- you lose won games
- your opening is not up to par
- you're just plain mystified about how to improve
Then this workshop is for you.
This, the 7th Annual Lancaster Yang Workshop runs Thursday through Sunday, November 20
Through November 23, 2003. The cost for adults is $200.00, children $100.00 for all four
days.
If you can not attend all four days, we will customize the workshop fee for partial attendance
with priority given to full time attendees. The workshop is limited to 20 people, so get your
reservation in early.
The workshop will start at 9:00 AM Thursday and end at 3:00 PM Sunday. Mr. Yang will give
lectures on various aspects of the game and analyze games that the attendees play at the
workshop. The workshop will be directed to both the Strong players and the improving players.
There will be something in here for everyone.
